It's official! We have a date and venue! Get excited: Saturday, April 16, 2011 at the Westin Canal Place in New Orleans.
After checking out many different venues and lots of discussions with our family, we've decided to hold our ceremony and reception at the Westin. Located on Canal Street at the edge of the French Quarter, the hotel has gorgeous views of the Mississippi River and downtown. The ceremony will be held in the Magnolia Ballroom on the 3rd floor and the reception will be in the Grand Ballroom on the 12th floor.
The Westin is atop the Shops at Canal Place, home of Saks Fifth Avenue, soon-to-be Anthropologie, Banana Republic and other nice shops and amenities (movie theater, salon, restaurants, etc.). We feel confident that everyone will be quite happy and comfortable at the hotel, and should (god forbid) we have a New Orleans monsoon, you can entertain yourself indoors all weekend.
