One of the first things I did after getting engaged was google 'weddings.' I've been lucky enough to have gone to a few terrific ones, but I realized that I don't know much about the whole process. There are a lot of great websites that explain the ceremony, rituals, and party - but one of the best sources is the The New Jewish Wedding by Anita Diamant.
An easy read with a lot of great information, Diamant's book has apparently "become required reading, assigned to engaged couples by Conservative, Reform, and Reconstruc-tionist rabbis alike since its original publication in 1986."
And after reading it, I learned that our rabbi recommends it as well!
It's good to know that we're on the right track.
